Terms & Conditions
Terms & Conditions
Effective date: August 18, 2026
Welcome to The Church Business. These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of The Church Business website, directories, marketplace, programs, accounts, listings, communications, and related services. By creating an account, submitting a listing, selling or purchasing through the platform, or otherwise using covered services, you agree to these Terms and any policies incorporated by reference.
1. Purpose and Christian Foundation
The Church Business exists to connect the household of faith through ethical commerce, service, ministry resources, and community support. The platform is operated according to Christian principles including honesty, integrity, respect, modesty, responsible stewardship, and truthful dealing. Users are expected to conduct themselves accordingly while using the platform.
2. Eligibility, Accounts, and Account Security
Users must provide accurate and current information when registering or transacting. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for activity conducted through your account. You may not impersonate another person or organization, create accounts for fraudulent or deceptive purposes, or misrepresent your identity, business, congregation, qualifications, or affiliations.
3. Church and Church of Christ Identification
Any user, congregation, minister, business, or organization claiming a particular church affiliation or Church of Christ identification must provide truthful information. The Church Business may request additional information before granting or displaying special affiliation markings or access to restricted ministry features. A listing, badge, directory entry, or approval by The Church Business is not a guarantee of doctrine, character, quality, licensing, or future conduct.
4. Marketplace Relationship
The Church Business provides a platform through which independent sellers and buyers may find one another and transact. Unless expressly stated otherwise for a specific program, sellers are independent users of the platform and are not employees, agents, partners, representatives, or joint venturers of The Church Business.
5. Seller Responsibilities
Each seller is responsible for the accuracy and legality of the seller’s listings; the condition, safety, quality, authenticity, pricing, and availability of products or services offered; obtaining any licenses, permissions, or authorizations required for the seller’s activity; fulfillment; shipping or delivery; customer service; taxes and reporting obligations applicable to the seller; and the seller’s return, refund, cancellation, and exchange obligations, subject to applicable law and payment-platform requirements.
Sellers may not use The Church Business to offer unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, stolen, counterfeit, dangerous, infringing, sexually explicit, or otherwise prohibited products, services, or content. The Church Business may hold, reject, suspend, or remove listings that violate platform standards or present legal, safety, fraud, reputational, or community concerns.
6. Buyer Responsibilities
Buyers are responsible for providing accurate account, billing, shipping, and transaction information; using legitimate payment methods; reviewing product or service descriptions and applicable seller policies before purchasing; and communicating truthfully regarding orders, disputes, refunds, chargebacks, or other transaction issues.
7. Returns, Refunds, Cancellations, and Exchanges
Independent sellers are generally responsible for establishing and honoring their own lawful return, refund, cancellation, and exchange policies and for communicating those policies clearly to buyers. Seller policies cannot eliminate rights that a buyer has under applicable law or binding payment-network or payment-processor requirements.
The Church Business is not the physical return location for independent sellers’ merchandise unless The Church Business expressly states otherwise for a particular transaction. Buyers should follow the applicable seller’s instructions for returns or service issues. The Church Business may assist with or review a dispute when necessary to address fraud, misconduct, platform-policy violations, payment issues, safety concerns, or protection of the marketplace and its users.
8. Role of The Church Business
The Church Business provides and administers the platform, but does not manufacture, inspect, possess, ship, perform, or independently verify every product or service offered by third-party sellers. We may moderate listings, investigate reports, request information, restrict accounts, withhold or remove content where permitted, or take other reasonable platform-protection measures. Such actions do not make The Church Business the seller of an independent seller’s goods or services.
9. Payments, Fees, and Charges
Applicable platform fees, listing charges, transaction charges, subscriptions, promotional charges, or other amounts will be disclosed through the relevant service, checkout, pricing information, or Payments and Fees page. Prices and service offerings may change prospectively. Payment processing may be provided by third-party payment providers, and use of those services may also be subject to their applicable terms and privacy practices.
10. Christian Conduct and Content Standards
Users must communicate and transact honestly and respectfully. Content submitted to the platform must be appropriate for a Christian community and must comply with applicable law and platform standards. The Church Business may restrict content involving fraud, threats, harassment, exploitation, obscene or sexually explicit material, immodest imagery inconsistent with platform standards, unlawful discrimination, infringement, impersonation, malicious activity, or other material that conflicts with the safety, integrity, mission, or lawful operation of the platform.
11. Listings, Review, and Moderation
Submission of a listing does not guarantee publication or continued publication. The Church Business may review, hold for approval, reject, request correction of, suspend, or remove content or accounts that violate these Terms or other applicable platform standards. Users remain responsible for the truthfulness and legality of information they submit.
12. Intellectual Property and User Content
You must own or have sufficient rights and permission to upload or submit content to The Church Business. You retain ownership of your original content. By submitting content for publication or operation of the platform, you grant The Church Business a non-exclusive license to host, store, reproduce, display, format, and distribute that content as reasonably necessary to operate, promote, secure, and provide the applicable platform service. You may not upload material that infringes another person’s copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
13. Privacy and Customer Information
Our collection and handling of personal information is addressed in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. Information necessary to process transactions may be shared with payment providers and other service providers. When a customer purchases from an independent seller, information reasonably necessary for that seller to fulfill and support the order may be made available to the applicable seller. Users should not collect, use, retain, or disclose customer information for unrelated purposes or in violation of applicable law or platform policy.
14. Third-Party Services and Links
The platform may rely on or link to third-party services including payment processors, hosting providers, analytics providers, email services, mapping services, shipping providers, and other integrations. Those third parties operate under their own terms and privacy practices. The Church Business does not control every third-party service and is not responsible for independent third-party websites or services to the extent permitted by applicable law.
15. Disputes and Christian Reconciliation
The Church Business encourages users, particularly brethren, to approach disagreements truthfully, peacefully, and in a spirit of Christian reconciliation, including direct communication and appropriate church or community guidance where suitable. Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive a legal right or remedy that cannot lawfully be waived. The Church Business may provide platform-level review or enforcement when a dispute involves transactions, fraud, misconduct, safety, or violation of platform standards.
16. Disclaimers
Except where expressly stated and to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the platform and its services are provided on an as-available basis. The Church Business does not guarantee the accuracy of every user-submitted statement, the character or conduct of every user, uninterrupted availability of the website, or the quality, safety, legality, fitness, or performance of every independently offered product or service. Nothing on the platform should be treated as legal, tax, medical, financial, or other licensed professional advice unless it is expressly provided as such by an appropriately qualified professional acting in that professional capacity.
17. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, The Church Business and its owners, officers, personnel, and authorized representatives will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from use of the platform or transactions between independent users. Any limitation in these Terms applies only to the extent permitted by applicable law and does not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
18. Suspension and Termination
The Church Business may restrict, suspend, or terminate access to platform features when reasonably necessary because of fraud, abuse, unlawful conduct, false representation, prohibited content, security threats, repeated policy violations, nonpayment of applicable platform charges, or other serious violations of these Terms. Where appropriate, we may preserve records needed for security, financial, dispute, compliance, or legal purposes.
19. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as the platform, services, or applicable requirements change. The current version will be posted on this page with an effective or revision date. Material changes may also be communicated through the website, account notices, email, or other reasonable means when appropriate. Continued use after an applicable change takes effect constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.

Your use of covered services is also subject to policies expressly incorporated or linked by these Terms.
